Keith Harrison
– CEO, Compass
Keith Harrison
is a visionary and leading expert in the area of distribution. In
an environment where big-brand electronics manufacturers are eliminating
distributors and independent representatives, Keith’s deep
understanding of manufacturing and retailing have allowed his company
to become a successful business partner with companies like Sony,
Mitsubishi, Coke, Target and Best Buy.
After graduating
from Bethel College with degrees in both business and biochemistry,
Keith began his career at Duracell, followed by Proctor & Gamble,
eventually becoming an independent manufacturer’s representative
for Sharp and Atari. In 1985 Keith founded Compass as an independent
sales organization. Compass quickly grew to nearly a billion dollars
in annual sales. Today compass employs nearly 80 people in three
divisions – Production, Labs and Marketing – to accommodate
the entire spectrum of what retailers and manufacturers need to
bring products and consumers together. |

Keith’s understanding
of the retail environment comes from several intersecting experiences
including the US launch of Sony Playstation, the creation of private label
music for retail sales, and collaborating with an array of Tier One retailers
and manufacturers. His retail intuition, experience and leadership have
brought Compass to the forefront of independent product development, representation
and marketing.
As a principle of
Compass, Keith continually demonstrates his skills in managing the art
of potential. Across many business environments Compass develops strong
partnerships, trusted relationships and highly ethical behavior into superior
results.
Keith is a dedicated
husband, father, church leader and business advocate whose insight and
hard work have resulted in the continued success of Compass, its employees
and partners around the world.
