James Gabbert -

James Gabbert is one of the most respected and successful businessmen in the furniture industry today. Widely regarded by this $81 billion industry as a top thinker with a progressive attitude.

After graduating from Colorado College in 1975, Jim began his career by joining his family business Gabberts Furniture and Design Studio. He left Gabberts in 1978 to found Games by James, a quality adult game store. Jim built Games by James into a thriving enterprise within 18 months, successfully selling the company in 1983.

Jim returned to Gabberts in 1980 to become President and was made Chairman and CEO in 1987. With stores in Minneapolis, Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas, Gabberts currently employs 600+ Associates and has annual sales over $120 Million.

 
Jim's extensive industry knowledge and involvement includes Board positions on both the National Home Furnishings Association and the Home Furnishings Council dating back to 1988. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his involvement and leadership in the industry and community at large.
