Ben Janowski founded The Janos Group, LTd. in 1987. The consulting division, Janos Consultants, specializes in the gem and jewelry field and works with industry organizations, manufacturers and retailers on strategic planning, a range of marketing issues, analysis of the US market, internal systems, merchandising, and product development. Other activities include writing articles for leading trade magazines; guest speaking on current and future trends in the market; and seminars on doing business in the US. A second division, Diamond Vision Services, offers high precision digital imaging services and applications designed for jewelry manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

Prior to formation of The Janos Group, Ltd., Ben had over 20 years experience as a principal and executive officer for major jewelry manufacturers, and had primary responsibility for sales and marketing of fine jewelry to all retail channels. He has held top management positions in sales, marketing and product development, and has supervised the development of advanced computer systems for the trade.
